Nature Vs Nurture

For all of you that guessed by the title this was gonna be a philosophical entry...well you're dead wrong.

First things first, a friend of mine got married from Brazil and this a pic of her reception. I love the way Brazilians get down! Check that laser beam!

Slate Rock: We took a hike on turnover day to bond and chill out and get away from camp and I couldn't have been more pleased. Talk about nature's bounty. Heaven.

I just want to give a big shout out to Bernie Mac for the lovely & witty postcard from "Mount Hood", Lana Bear with her caring card & hawaii shakas photo, Anja sending my first package with "Practical Macromae" as well as horoscopes and found poetry, my boy brad with the loveliest letter, polaroid, and mind-boggling semaphore, and all the future pieces of mail to come!


I am really honestly honored. Every time I am called into the office to get mail I get a chance to boast of all the amazing friends I have back home. Lets just say the office girl is supremely jealous!

Camp Update #1

What's up party people?

So I am at Day 4 of camp. Things are going swimmingly. They have asked
us to "surrender" our cell phones so that has been really interesting
for 2 reasons:

1) 1 month without a phone is kind of alarming
2) i need my cell phone for my alarm to wake in the morn
3) they haven't collected them, so i have had to be on the honor
system and put my cell phone on "airplane mode".
4) so at least i have an alarm and the pride of knowing i can survive
on airplane mode.

Other than that, I can't say that there is too much to report. We are
working 8am-Midnight each day so far and today I got my first break
for 45 mins...played a little guitar. Though there are no scheduled
breaks, there is 3 meals which are always great and right now I am
writing to you in a chinchilla fur coat and cowboy hat...so morale is
up despite the business.

Falling asleep at night is actually really hard, since my body and
mind has been going all day. I lay in bed at night with playlists and
reggaeton songs on repeat in my brain, exploding ideas of what my
"LOVE SEAT OF LOVE" character should say tomorrow at club, and my legs
still not believing that they won't have to work for a few hours.

Today me and another program person lead a Blob Contest that got us in
a bit of trouble with the property staff because the guy was like
150lbs bigger than the girl and she ate crap pretty hard. Whateverz.
Live and Learn.

I'm making nice friends with people from Minnesota and South Dakota
which I never thought would happen.

I am having crazy dreams when I finally do fall asleep.

I check the mailman's pockets everyday for mail. Still no sign of any.

I hear my main man bradical might have something on its way to me
which is makes me feel excitement. Once again, I vow to write back if
you do. And I don't even have stamps, so I will have to desperate
things for them...but I will do this...for the love.
